Leave your clubs at home when the sun goes down Monday, Dec. 31. Genoa Lakes Golf Club has a party planned to ring in 2013 in country club style with dinner, drinks and dancing. The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres inside Antoci’s. Sample the bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with fresh lemon herb infused with goat cheese or seared wild Ahi on a fried wonton crisp with wasabi mayo and teriyaki sauce. And that’s only the beginning.

A multi-course gourmet dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., starting with a baby heirloom lettuce and spinach salad with toasted almonds, feta cheese and kalamata olives with pomegranate vinaigrette.

Following an intermezzo of raspberry sorbet with a splash of champagne to cleanse your palate, it is on to the main course featuring grilled “baseball cut” Top Sirloin with a Portobello, Shiitake mushroom and Cippolini onion reduction finished with smoked gorgonzola; next up is on to Jumbo Prawns Siciliana sauteed with champagne and lemon Cello Beurre blanc served with Yukon gold sour cream and horseradish potato puree and a baby squash medley.

To end your last meal of 2012, go out in decadent style with homemade cannolis, cream puffs and Tiramisu Mousse. After dinner enjoy music and dancing a 9 p.m. champagne toast for Times Square ball drop in New York City.

Divine 9 hotel partner Carson Valley Inn has New Year’s Eve dinner lined up at its award-winning CV Steak or inside Katie’s Country Kitchen. CV Steak starts serving New Year’s Eve dinner at 4:30 p.m. Dinner includes a choice of Roasted Prime Rib of Beef with Shrimp Scampi or a Seafood Mix Grill that includes a half lobster tail, bacon-wrapped scallops, clams and jumbo shrimp. All specials include CV Steak’s signature table side tossed salad, sourdough baguette and choice of house stuffed, baked or Au Gratin potatoes.

Katie’s dinner features two main courses: a choice between Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef served with six fried shrimp accompanied with double-stuffed baked potato, Au Jus, creamed horseradish, cocktail sauce and lemon or Pan Seared Petrale sole, served with herbed rice pilaf, garden vegetables, lemon and tarter sauce. Both entrees come with your choice of soup or house salad.

After dinner the music of After Dark playing rock n’ roll favorites from the 50′s to today at the Cabaret Lounge.

Three New Year’s Eve celebrations and a buffet dinner will be held at Tahoe Ridge Winery Bistro & Marketplace. Celebrate the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013 three times with the first for New York at 9 p.m., the second party at 10 p.m. for the Central time zone and the West Coast party at midnight. Champagne, party favors and dancing are all in the mix.
